Music Video of the Week

I chose this video as my music video of the week as it challenges the stereotype of today's Indie/ Alternative videos. The video is performance based, however with some aspects of narrative thrown in. The most important key convention of this video is the editing; the intertextual use of comic books within the story. This technique is unique, therefore gains a wider audience due to its originality. The diagetic sound of whistling within the song matches the visuals, as this combined with the comic book 'look' conveys a sense of humour, therefore making it an enjoyable watch.
