Prior to taking the photographs for my digipak, I already had a clear idea in mind of what I wanted the photography to look like. I took a couple of pictures, similar to the ones above, and decided these were the images I wanted to use. The reason for this is the centred angle of the photographs, and the facial expressions of the actor. The sombre, slightly disconcerting facial expression will add to the mysterious and dark tone of the album- fitting in with the black and white photography I want to use. Also, the backdrop of these photographs makes the editing slightly easier, as it will be easier to lasso the actor from the background, and place onto a black background within the album.
